DOC-DIX-ICI-Electronic Frame order-BD

The Illinois Department of Corrections, specifically the Dixon Correctional Center (DIXONCC426), awarded a contract to Solo Bambini through a Release Competitive Sealed Bidding process (22-426DOC-DIXON-P-43903). The contract, valued at $2,316.00, is scheduled to run from September 25, 2025, to June 30, 2026, focusing on the procurement of specialized eyeglass frames for high-security correctional environments.

The primary line item consists of an Eagle Scout eyeglass frame in charcoal color, sized 50-20-140, designed for high-security use. The frame specifications include critical security-oriented features: soft, flexible plastic construction, hypoallergenic material, and a design that eliminates hinges, screws, and metal components in the temples or any part of the frame. This specialized product appears tailored to meet stringent safety requirements typical of correctional facility procurement, ensuring minimal potential for the frames to be used as a weapon or modified for harmful purposes.
