About this IDV
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has awarded a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) worth up to $80 million to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), a global non-profit organization. Under this IDC, IAVI provides a range of research, development, manufacturing, and advocacy services to advance the creation and delivery of vaccines and antibodies for infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, influenza, Ebola, and COVID-19. Services include process development, analytical testing, cGMP manufacturing, toxicology studies, regulatory support, and clinical trial material production.
Through task orders issued against this IDC, NIAID has contracted with IAVI for specific projects, including the manufacture of influenza virus human challenge material, storage of GMP and non-GMP materials, cell line optimization and master cell bank generation for vaccine candidates, and process development work on vaccine candidates including for SARS-CoV-2. These task orders, which do not have set-aside designations, have a total ceiling value of over $30 million and run through 2028. IAVI serves as the prime contractor, collaborating with subcontractors as needed to leverage specialized expertise across the product development lifecycle.
