About this IDV
The National Cancer Institute awarded a single award indefinite delivery contract to Wayne State University to support the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results Program. The IDV has a potential value of $500 million to be awarded over multiple task orders through April 2028.
The first task order issued against the IDV is for $1,000 to Wayne State University to support programmatic meetings for the SEER Program in Detroit, Michigan through August 2021. SEER collects and publishes cancer incidence and survival data to support cancer research and reduce the cancer burden. This task order will fund meeting costs to further SEER's epidemiological goals.
The original solicitation sought additional population-based cancer registries to collect and report cancer data through the SEER Program for an eight-year period of performance. Registries were required to commit to using the SEER*DMS data management system and be legally designated collectors of cancer data for their coverage areas. Awards between $1,000 and $500 million were anticipated to ramp up data collection across multiple contracts. International Medical Statistics previously provided the SEERDMS system under a separate contract.
