This Project Grant award in the amount of $119,172 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) is intended to support efforts by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to provide a range of services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The CoC Program funds can be used for eligible activities across five program components: permanent housing (including permanent supportive housing and rapid re-housing), transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. While the specific sub-recipient activities are unknown at the time of the award, the DCA, as the recipient, is expected to utilize the funding to help decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness within its jurisdiction, as measured by performance indicators such as length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and exits to permanent housing. The award is effective March 11, 2025.
