Description

The goals of the proposed project are to 1) eliminate utility infrastructure from sensitive salt marsh habitat, and 2) increase the resilience of the nbnerr and prudence island community to coastal hazards and other impacts by reducing aboveground utility infrastructure in a vulnerable location. The objectives of the proposed project are to: 1. Relocate electric utility wires that currently cross NAG marsh underground along neck farm road 2. Remove 7 utility poles from NAG marsh we anticipate that all objectives will be completed within year 1 of the project. This is realistic given that work will be performed by utility company national grid, who will handle all aspects of permitting and construction, obviating the need to go through additional procurement processes.
