Description

The long-term goal of phase III is to follow the two prior pilot projects above tidewater with a tidewater habitat pilot that creates enhanced and complex channel habitat within 1.5 miles of a seven mile reach of the mainstem siletz river estuary channel. This work is designed to support juvenile salmonids and lamprey during key life history periods of mainstem habitat use. These periods of habitat use occur during specific seasons that vary by species and life history stage. The tribe's phase III priority species include chinook and coho salmon, and pacific lamprey but this work will benefit chum salmon and steelhead trout as well.
