About this award

This two-year, $149,259 project grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' National Leadership Grants program will fund the development of an open homework repository by the Virtual Library of Virginia consortium. Working with partner organizations including Galileo, the Louisiana Library Network, and the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at George Mason University, the consortium will plan and create a proof-of-concept repository to store and share open educational resources. The repository is designed to provide instructors an alternative to expensive packaged homework systems by offering ancillary course materials. It will also include plans for future iterations, outreach, and adoption efforts. The National Leadership Grants program supports projects that address critical needs in the museum and library fields and advance professional practices to strengthen public services.

Description

This project features several partners and collaborators, including: galileo (georgia), the louisiana library network, partnership for academic library collaboration and innovation (pennsylvania), ohio library and information network, and one statewide OER program, open oregon educational resources.
