Continuum of care program

The federal Project Grant award of $1,574,698.00 was provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267). The award was granted to Unity of Greater New Orleans, Inc., a non-profit organization serving as the lead agency for the local CoC in the New Orleans and Jefferson Parish regions.

The funding supports a comprehensive range of housing assistance and supportive services to address homelessness in the Greater New Orleans area. Key products and services delivered through this award include permanent housing, transitional housing, rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, street outreach, housing search and placement, rental and utility assistance, case management, and connections to mainstream benefits. The grant enables Unity of Greater New Orleans to provide targeted interventions that help vulnerable populations quickly transition from homelessness to stable housing, with a focus on promoting long-term self-sufficiency. The award period is from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025.
