Description

In 2019 northeast wisconsin land trust purchased 74 acres along wequiock creek and adjacent to point AU sable with generous funding provided by the national coastal wetlands conservation grant program. The acquisition proposed in this project is adjacent to that previous purchase and would make possible the preservation of a crucial contiguous piece of land. The wisconsin department of natural resources on behalf of the northeast wisconsin land trust requests $90000 to assist with the acquisition of 22 acres of land on point AU sable which is the largest coastal wetland complex along the east shore of green BAY on lake michigan.
