The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded a $420,218 Project Grant to the Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). The grant will support the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for an eight-county region in southeastern Indiana through March 2025. As part of EDA's Planning program, the CEDS process brings together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. The grant recipient, Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission, will lead this collaborative, regional planning effort to stimulate and guide overall economic development in Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Ohio, Jefferson, Jennings, Ripley, and Switzerland counties.
