The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded a $420,000 Project Grant to the River Hills Economic Development District and Regional Planning Commission under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). The funding will support the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a five-county region of southern Indiana from January 2022 through December 2024. The CEDS process brings together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. Through this planning grant, EDA aims to stimulate and guide economic development efforts in the communities covered by the River Hills organization.
