The Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission (SE Missouri Regional Planning) will receive $379,167 under a Project Grant from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration's Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302) to develop and implement a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a seven-county region in southeast Missouri from January 2022 through March 2025. The CEDS process brings together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy by stimulating and guiding regional economic development efforts. Funding will support SE Missouri Regional Planning's work to engage regional partners and identify strategic projects, programs, and policies to promote job growth, build infrastructure, and support entrepreneurs across Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Perry, Saint Francois, and Saint Genevieve Counties in Missouri.
