Rbdg rural business coop native american enterprise grant

Federal Project Grant Award Summary

The Homestead Co-Op received $167,900 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Business Cooperative Services under the Rural Business Development Grant program (CFDA 10.351) awarded on September 17, 2025, with a completion date of September 17, 2027. As an intermediary grantee, The Homestead Co-Op will provide technical assistance and capital support to small and emerging private businesses in rural Arizona. The funding supports enterprises that employ 50 or fewer new employees and project less than $1 million in gross revenue, consistent with the program's focus on sustainable economic development and job creation in rural communities.

This grant enables The Homestead Co-Op to facilitate business development activities that align with established federal priorities, including projects in low-income communities, job preservation and creation initiatives, and areas with elevated unemployment rates. Grant funds support the cooperative's intermediary role in delivering business support services rather than direct funding to individual enterprises, thereby leveraging the cooperative structure to maximize economic impact across the rural Arizona service area.
