Lamp value added producer grant – mandatory

On September 5, 2025, Rural Business Cooperative Services awarded a $250,000 Project Grant to Northeastern Juice Cooperative, Inc. under the Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program (FMLFPP), CFDA 10.175. The award, categorized as a LAMP Value Added Producer Grant, supports the cooperative's initiatives in New York through September 5, 2027. As a value-added producer grant under this federal program, the funding is designated to enhance the cooperative's capacity to develop, process, and market locally and regionally produced agricultural products, with particular focus on value-added juice products that increase market access and availability for producers.

The FMLFPP, administered jointly by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service and Rural Business Cooperative Services, funds projects that develop and expand local and regional food systems through direct and indirect producer-to-consumer marketing channels. This 2-year grant supports Northeastern Juice Cooperative's efforts to strengthen value-added product development, marketing strategies, and regional food chain coordination. Grant recipients are required to provide a 25 percent cost-share match and may request a one-year extension upon project completion; however, renewal funding is not available after project conclusion.
