The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $839,136 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) project grant to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on March 11, 2025. This grant will support LAHSA's community-wide efforts to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families in Los Angeles while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
Eligible activities under this grant include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. LAHSA plans to use the funds to provide a range of services, including outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention. The organization will both directly deliver these services and act as a pass-through entity, distributing funds to nonprofit homeless services providers and local governments to implement community-wide strategies to address homelessness in the greater Los Angeles area.
