The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $5,356,056 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) grant to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on March 11, 2025. This Project Grant funding is designed to promote community-wide strategies to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families in the Los Angeles area while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency.
The grant will support a range of eligible activities under the Continuum of Care Program, including permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homelessness prevention. LAHSA, as the lead agency for the Los Angeles Continuum of Care, will coordinate the funding to implement these services directly and through sub-awards to nonprofit providers and local governments. Key services may include outreach, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing assistance, transitional housing, and targeted supportive services to help homeless individuals and families achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency.
