THIS PROJECT WILL SYSTEMATICALLY ANALYZE EXISTING COMMERCIAL NETWORKS WITHIN THE REGION IDENTIFYING GAPS AND EXPLORING NEW CONNECTIONS TO MAXIMIZE SALES OF LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTS. THE PROJECT WILL ASSEMBLE SPECIALIZED WORKING GROUPS FOCUSED ON FACILITATING INCREASED SALES AMONG FARMERS PROCESSORS AND OTHER FOOD BUSINESSES. THESE GROUPS WILL ACTIVELY BUILD NEW PARTNERSHIPS TO ENHANCE COORDINATION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE REGIONAL FOOD CHAIN. THE PROJECTS ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES INCLUDE THE GENERATION OF VALUABLE DATA THAT STAKEHOLDERS CAN UTILIZE TO BOLSTER LOCAL FOOD VALUE CHAINS. THIS WORK WILL BENEFIT FARMERS CONSUMERS AND ALL STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED IN THE REGIONAL FOOD SYSTEM SUPPORTING INCREASED ACCESS TO AND AVAILABILITY OF LOCALLY PRODUCED AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS.
