The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska (Vendor) will receive $569,478 under a three-year Project Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration to support the Native American Employment and Training program. The grant will fund employment and training services for American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians in Niobrara, Nebraska through June 2025. Specifically, the Vendor will provide career services, follow-up services for up to 12 months after exit, and training services defined in section 134(c)(3)(D) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to help unemployed and under-skilled individuals from these communities enhance their academic, occupational and literacy skills. The Vendor must meet six performance outcomes around employment rates, median earnings and credential/skill attainment. With little subrecipient activity expected, the Vendor will directly deliver most services and activities to eligible individuals to support occupational development, upward mobility and new career opportunities.
