This grant will provide disaster recovery and humanitarian assistance employment, as well as employment and training services, to support workers impacted by declared disasters and emergency situations in Tennessee. Allowable activities include clean-up, repair, renovation, and reconstruction efforts, as well as delivery of humanitarian aid. The grant has a performance period from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2026.

TDLWD plans to partner with sub-grantees such as the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency, Inc. and First Tennessee Development District to deliver these services through American Job Centers across the affected areas. The sub-grantees will provide comprehensive employment and training assistance, including career counseling, skills training, job placement, and supportive services, to temporarily or permanently laid-off workers, dislocated workers, long-term unemployed individuals, and self-employed persons impacted by the disaster or emergency.
