The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded a $245,573,534 block grant to the State of Florida Judiciary Courts Office of the State Courts Administrator from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. The grant supports services provided through the Title IV-E Foster Care program (CFDA #93.658), which aims to provide safe and stable out-of-home care for children under state child welfare agency jurisdiction. Specifically, the funding will help Florida provide foster care services until children can be safely reunited with parents or placed with adoptive families, consistent with the goals of the Title IV-E program to help states care for children who cannot remain with their families.
