The Regents of the University of California, San Francisco was awarded a $404,922 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation on May 1, 2022 to support an NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site in Molecular Biosciences through April 30, 2025. The grant supports an REU site that will promote progress in the biological sciences by providing research experiences for undergraduate students to increase scientific knowledge and enhance understanding of major problems in the field. As part of the NSF's Biological Sciences program (CFDA 47.074), this REU site will strengthen the nation's scientific enterprise by engaging undergraduate students in basic biological research focused on molecular biosciences. The total funding amount of $404,922 will support this research training site over a three-year period.
