Description

Existing pesticides have lost effectiveness due to resistance and can kill beneficial insects, so we want to develop safer and more effective alternatives. We believe that a formulation based on naturally occurring fatty acids will solve the problem. We will develop and test such formulations in the laboratory and in the field against biting flies, with the expected outcome of providing livestock producers with superior fly control compared to existing fly treatments. Livestock production will become more efficient and there will be less damage to beneficial insects such as honey bees
