About this award
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) awarded a $250,000 Project Grant to Space Gallery on December 1, 2021 through October 31, 2023 under the Promotion of the Arts Grants to Organizations and Individuals program (CFDA 45.024).
The grant will support Space Gallery's subgranting to nonprofit arts organizations in Maine in response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. As described under the CFDA, the NEA program aims to support opportunities for public participation in the arts and arts education. The subgrants from Space Gallery will likely fund related services and programming from other nonprofits that build community well-being and resilience through the arts at a time when these services have been disrupted by the pandemic.
