Description
Currently the species is listed as endangered under local laws and the federal endangered species act. Little is known on the diet of this species and such information is important for future management plans regarding the species. DFW will collect possible prey species and fecal specimen from the nightingale reed-warbler in order to determine the overall diet of the species on saipan and alamagan. Prey species abundance with seasonality will also be looked at on the island of saipan. The data will be used to assist with animal husbandry and future translocation of the species to a suitable island within the cnmi northern islands.
