About this award

The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development in Massachusetts received a Formula Grant award of $674,753 from the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) under the Employment Service/Wagner-Peyser Funded Activities program (CFDA 17.207), effective July 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028. This award specifically funds labor market information (LMI) activities designed to develop and disseminate essential state and local workforce data to diverse customer groups including job seekers, employers, workforce intermediaries at American Job Centers, educational institutions, policymakers, and economic development entities.

Under this grant, the recipient must maintain a workforce information database and produce two primary public products: employment projections and a statewide economic analysis report. The LMI products and services are designed to provide accurate, actionable information that enables users to make informed decisions regarding employment, career pathways, education, and training opportunities aligned with high-demand and higher-wage occupations. The grant also requires that LMI staff receive adequate training and encourages grantees to develop supplementary reports and data products beyond minimum requirements to support workforce reemployment, work-based learning initiatives, and worker advancement.
