Description
The purpose of this program is to focus plant materials support into high-priority sagebrush steppe landscapes to enhance resiliency to fire and climate change and resistance to annual grass invasion. This project meets the goals of the department of interiors sagebrush keystone initiative and national seed strategy, drawing on the sagebrush conservation design and the keystone initiative to identify high-priority landscapes, which include craters of the moon national monument and preserve (crmo) and city of rocks national reserve (ciro). The work accomplished under this agreement accelerates the landscape scale collaboration among NPS and other stakeholders including tribes, in order to provide timely and appropriate plant materials into fuels reduction and post-fire recovery projects.
