Description
To facilitate multi-disciplinary science and integrated information products related to the resources of the national park system. To maintain a comprehensive network cooperative study units as will provide full geographic and topical coverage for research, technical assistance, and educational activities related to the resources contained in units of the national park system and their larger regions.a. This project will result in the completion of an architectural vulnerability assessment of the 17TH century mission church and convento complex (CA. 1625-1838), one of the largest adobe spanish mission churches and associated convento structures in the american southwest, and of the pigeons ranch adobe structure. These structures have recently experienced major adverse impacts from climate change, including unprecedented drought and changing and sometimes extreme precipitation regimes. One of the primary goals of this project is to begin linking individual park vulnerability assessment efforts to form a network of multiple parks across the region in order to develop a common baseline methodology for assessing the health of resources and identify condition trends (vital signs approach) that transcend the diversity of structural systems, material types, preservation techniques, and environments. Beneficiaries include state and local governments, federally recognized indian tribal governments, public private nonprofit organizations, nonprofit institutions of higher education, and individuals (including members of the general public).for more information and guidance, refer to NPS financial assistance policy guidance document on usaspending.GOV award descriptions (project abstracts), or contact the NPS financial assistan
