Description
We seek measurable outcomes that meet the six objectives of the joint fire science program for fire science exchange networks. Nwfscspecific objectives aim to: 1) improve information access, accuracy, awareness, and delivery, 2) increase inclusion, multi-way engagement, and CO-production between research and the field and 3) promote collaboration and CO-learning that addresses inequities and sustains and conserves resilient social and ecological systems. We will achieve these objectives through a robust partnership of core science generation and delivery organizations in the northwest. Outputs and activities will include updating nwfsc governance, maintaining and growing platforms needs assessments inclusive of underserved communities, tribal managers and scientists disseminating identified research needs convening a westside fire knowledge summit and a multi-exchange workshop on equity environmental justice supporting national and regional events and cross-exchange learning and delivering science application bundles that bring together multiple activities and platforms across regionally-important themes.
