Description

Activities
The recipient will convene a working group of regional managers and researchers to prioritize species, habitats, and systems for coastal squeeze assessment. The outputs of the working group will guide the specific modeling approaches applied. All approaches will draw on relative sea-level rise projections, coastal elevation models, coastal geology, and shoreline armoring data sets to project changes in coastal habitats, identify barriers to inland migration, and opportunities for restoration.deliverables and expected outcomes: the recipient will produce maps of coastal squeeze, barriers to inland migration, and restoration opportunities as well as multiple peer-reviewed publications. We will CO-develop a simple web-based tool for allowing users to interact with the maps we generate.intended beneficiary(IES): the outcomes of the study will be designed to help state and regional planners and managers.
