Description
The species faces a risk of extinction if alternative populations are not established. We are requesting funding to plant 200 seedlings in the fall of 2022, to maintain and water seedlings in summer of 2023, and to monitor the 200 seedlings planted in 2022 in addition to 323 seedlings planted in 2020 2021 for 3 years. This project will include significant volunteer contributions and will contribute to the recovery of e. Codium through the establishment of new seedlings, data collection to inform future planting efforts, and community education on rare plant conservation.
