Prepare final reportexpected outcomes: ultra-sensitive magnetic field sensors play an important role in many applications such as medical imaging, navigation, brain-machine interfacing, and geology. The established technology for such sensors is superconducting quantum interference device (squid) which utilizes superconductors and, therefore, requires vacuum and cryogenic conditions for operation. Developing ultra-sensitive NV center-based sensor will have an immediate impact on the market and can lead to new applications based on this platform.intended beneficiaries include: industries such as smart power grids, renewable energies, medical and scientific industries utilizing imaging techniques such as magnetoencephalography (MEG).
