Description
- Activities
- Key activities to be performed during phase i include:1.configuration, construction and TESTING2.complete initial proof of concept DEMONSTRATION3.demonstrate effects of print parametersexpected outcomes: initial commercial application would incorporate the strain induced birefringence metrology tool into industrial VAT photopolymer additive manufacturing equipment as an upgrade or add-on to optimize printing speed, material property control, consistency, and defect reduction. The tool could be used to support photopolymer suppliers in their development of novel materials because the tool could be used to upgrade existing hardware and not does not require a new printer/tool combination, thus, the market opportunity is not limited to a specific hardware platform or vendor. Additionally, IT is conceivable that the proposed tool could enable the development of a new generation of VAT printers. Intended beneficiaries include:1.global additive manufacturing material MARKETS2.large scale additive manufacturing equipment COMPANIES3.resin supplier market for the development of new materials.
