Description

Activities
Four communications testing and demonstration efforts will be performed which will significantly support the further refinement of the squishy robotics stationary robot equipped. Three of the testing efforts, (1) communications terrain-obstruction testing, (2) fire truck integration and interference, and (3) RF interference testing, address the transmission of data from deployed sensors to first responders. The fourth testing effort, (4)user interface and first responder-machine testing focuses on improving the presentation or analysis of data to first responders to improve their comprehension and understanding of the UI presentation of emergency information.
Expected outcomes
This project will aid squishy robotics to better enhance the user experience (UX) for our first responders. By providing better data visualization and a more intuitive and easier-to-use UI, first responders will be more prepared to respond to ever-changing situations during emergency response calls.
Intended beneficiaries
