About this award
The Smithsonian Institution awarded a $111,108 firm fixed price delivery order contract to DR Arquitectura SA (doing business as Rodriguez + Toledo) for fire protection system upgrades at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's research campus in Gamboa, Panama. The contract has a period of performance from August 28, 2023 through September 7, 2023 to provide and install necessary fire safety equipment and infrastructure to enhance protection of the research facilities. No subcontractors or set aside designations were identified. The short performance period indicates the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute requires the upgraded fire protection system to be in place before the conclusion of this contract in early September.
