The Department of the Interior National Park Service Pacific West Region awarded a $792,800 firm fixed price contract to Big River Construction Inc. doing business as Big River Excavating, Inc. to rehabilitate the wastewater system at Lewis & Clark National Historical Park in Astoria, Oregon. The contract is set aside for small businesses and will support construction of a new 5,000 gallon per day wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal system serving the Fort Clatsop Visitor Center and Administration Building. Work must be completed within approximately nine and a half months. No subcontractors were identified. The contract furthers NPS's mission to preserve and protect historical sites commemorating the Lewis and Clark Expedition's journey to the Pacific Northwest.
