About this program
The Peace Corps awards cooperative agreements and grants under the Global Health and PEPFAR Initiative Program (CFDA 45.400) to support the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and global health programming, with no specific upcoming deadline visible in current published opportunities.
The program funds supplemental Volunteer training, additional two-year Volunteers and Peace Corps Response Volunteers, three-year extensions, staff positions, and community-level capacity building and community-initiated activities aligned with PEPFAR goals. Assistance can also support identification and implementation of evidence-based practices in global health and HIV programming, and development of staff capacity for global health and PEPFAR programs. Funded activities operate overseas through volunteer service mechanisms.
Awards are issued as cooperative agreements and grants to non-federal entities for periods not to exceed three years, with renewal after the first year contingent on successful performance-measure completion. Annual spending of federal assistance funds is required. The Peace Corps Office of Acquisitions and Contract Management reviews applications with technical input from multiple program offices; awards flow to top-ranked applicants based on RFA evaluation factors, agency needs, and fund availability. OMB Circular A-21 applies; recipients must maintain adequate financial records and accounts.
The source provided does not include a grant-award portfolio block with recent award dates, dollar totals, award counts, or assistance-type distribution data. No recent grant awards are documented in the source material. No open requests for applications with posted deadlines appear in the source; application deadlines are specified in individual RFAs issued by the Peace Corps. Recipients should monitor Peace Corps' acquisitions office for RFA releases and typical funding opportunity announcement schedules, as the source does not surface current or upcoming solicitation timelines.
