About this program
The Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC) administers State Appraiser Agency Support Grants (CFDA 38.006) to fund State appraiser regulatory agencies' efforts to advance credentialing, investigation, complaint processing, and regulatory infrastructure, with the next application cycle timing to be set by the ASC based on initial budget period completion.
The program funds concrete operational and programmatic improvements at State appraiser certifying and licensing agencies. Eligible activities include developing and delivering training, improving appraiser credentialing and investigation processes, expanding complaint resolution capacity, and extending credentialing opportunities into underserved markets. The ASC anticipates funding all 55 eligible State agencies that apply, adjusting budgets and activities as needed to accommodate full applicant participation within available appropriations. Awards support three-year grant periods, with grantees reapplying for years two and three on a schedule set by the ASC.
The source does not report a grant award portfolio with recent disbursement dates, assistance-type distribution, funding concentration data, or dollar magnitudes. No recent grant awards are documented in the source.
The source does not identify an open grant opportunity with a stated application deadline. The NOFA application process requires submission of a facesheet, narrative, budget form SF 424A, budget narrative, and certification and assurances. Award decisions flow from ASC staff evaluation against three criteria—identified needs and proposed solutions (60% weight), organizational capacity (20%), and budget and cost effectiveness (20%)—with final approval authority held by the ASC Board and the Executive Director.
Eligibility is limited to State appraiser certifying and licensing agencies in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the United States Virgin Islands. Grantees must maintain financial and program records for three years following the final Federal Financial Report submission. The source does not provide recent funding history, award volume, or typical award magnitudes sufficient to characterize the program's current pursuit posture.
