About this program
The Department of State Bureau of Political Military Affairs administers funding under CFDA 19.129 for Organization of American States development assistance programs, democracy building, peace restoration, and budgetary support for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, with no recent grant awards or open opportunities present in available records.
Eligibility is severely constrained: only bodies of the Organization of American States may apply. Applicants must submit through the Department of State SAMS Domestic grant application system and comply with Public International Organization Terms and Conditions. Programs must adhere to OAS General Standards and all OAS requirements. All funds flow exclusively to the Organization of American States as a public international organization; no pass-through funding to other entities is permitted.
The program structures funding around two-year periods of performance. Recipients are required to undergo audits contracted by the Department of Planning and Evaluation as per agreements with the OAS Secretariat and must retain records for three years following submission of the final report.
No recent grant awards or current grant opportunities are documented in the available source material. The lack of visible recent activity, combined with the restriction that only OAS entities qualify as applicants, positions this program outside the reach of most U.S.-based organizations. Pursuit is viable only for organizations with direct OAS membership or formal delegation status. Organizations without that standing should treat this listing as inaccessible and focus efforts on programs with broader eligibility.
