About this program
The Department of Housing and Urban Development's Public and Indian Housing Office administers the ROSS Supportive Services Programs (CFDA 14.898), which funds services enabling residents of public and Indian housing to achieve economic and housing self-sufficiency through locally-driven initiatives and linkages to community service providers. Application deadlines are published annually in a Notice of Funding Availability on Grants.gov; the source does not indicate a current open opportunity or the date of the most recent awards.
The program serves residents of all ages across public housing and Indian housing stock, supporting economic self-sufficiency through supportive services tailored to local community needs. Eligible applicants include public housing authorities and Indian housing entities authorized under Section 34 of the Housing Act (42 U.S.C. 1437z-6) and the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (25 U.S.C. 4101 et seq.). Services may address resident barriers to employment, housing stability, health, education, and related drivers of self-sufficiency, though the program description does not enumerate specific service categories funded or award-size expectations.
HUD reviews applications against criteria established in each fiscal year's NOFA and published in the Federal Register. Selection criteria vary by funding year and are detailed in the notice when issued. Applicants whose applications did not receive funding may request a debriefing; no formal appeals process exists. Recipients must comply with audit requirements under 2 CFR Part 200 and federal record-keeping obligations at 2 CFR 200.333, in addition to terms specified in the grant agreement.
The source does not contain recent grant awards, award portfolio data, assistance-type distribution, funding concentration figures, award economics, or information on recently posted grant opportunities. To evaluate current funding availability, eligibility constraints, and award scope, check Grants.gov for the current fiscal year NOFA or contact HUD's headquarters or regional office directly.
