About this opportunity

Louisiana State University New Orleans Purchasing Office is requesting bids for excess bartending services to operate concessions at the UNO Arena Lakefront facility under an all-or-none award of three contracts, with bidder inquiries due October 9, 2026 and bid opening October 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The awardee must be a 501(c)(7) tax-exempt social and recreational club — a hard eligibility requirement.

The scope covers staffing and operations for both general and alcoholic beverage concessions at the Arena. The contractor organizes and manages volunteers (minimum 18 years old, with Responsible Vendor Cards required for alcohol service), maintains inventory counts, follows University cash handling procedures, and ensures compliance with all University, local, state, and federal regulations. General liability insurance with a minimum $500,000 limit is required, naming LSU New Orleans as additional insured, along with Adult Group Accident Medical Insurance.

Compensation is structured as a percentage of gross sales. Bidders submit separate percentages for alcohol sales (maximum 6%) and concession sales (maximum 10%), ranked from lowest to highest. The Arena guarantees a minimum payment of $100 per group per event, with payment made by the 10th of the month following each event. Groups are contacted for events in order of their ranking by lowest commission percentage.

The initial contract period runs from award through June 30, 2027, with four optional renewal periods of twelve months each available at the University's discretion, not to exceed four total renewals. The contract may be terminated for cause, for convenience with 30 days' notice, or due to non-appropriation of funds by the legislature. Addenda will be issued by October 14, 2026.
