About this opportunity

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, Office of Health Informatics is seeking a pool of certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) resources to provide cancer data case consolidation, editing, abstracting, and auditing services for the Wisconsin Cancer Reporting System, with proposals due July 28, 2026.

Bidders must hold active ODS credentials—the mandatory qualification filter. The scope covers data collection and processing including cancer case abstraction, finding, and classification following national guidelines, State requirements, and WCRS standards for reportable cases; data quality control and corrections through case consolidations, duplicate removal, abstraction corrections, program edits, visual edits, and auditing procedures.

The solicitation seeks to establish a pool of eligible resources rather than award to a single contractor, allowing DHS to engage resources on an as-needed basis for WCRS operations. Performance is based in Wisconsin.
