About this opportunity

Collier County, Florida is soliciting proposals for 22 fully functional Vehicle Count Station Bundles with integrated cell service and hosting costs, with proposals due August 26, 2026. The solution must be a pole-mounted, radar-based traffic monitoring system capable of non-intrusive individual vehicle detection and logging without external equipment cabinets or solar panels.

The system must detect and log individual vehicle data including speed, lane, timestamps, and classification, then transmit automatically to a cloud server via built-in 4G or 5G cellular connectivity. The solution must store data locally and automatically backfill the cloud server upon restoration of communications. Vendor-supplied hardware must include an internal camera for alignment verification, electronic tilt and level sensing for setup, and Bluetooth and Ethernet capability for local configuration. The vendor is responsible for all necessary hardware, software, support services, cloud hosting, and cellular service costs as a bundled offering.

The 22 installation locations are distributed across Collier County roadways, including sites on Airport Road, Golden Gate Parkway, Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Vanderbilt Beach Road, Pine Ridge Road, Davis Boulevard, Radio Road, Livingston Road, Orange Blossom Drive, State Road 29, State Road 82, Immokalee Road, and Collier Boulevard. The project is grant-funded. The scope of work document is attached to the solicitation.
