About this opportunity

Erie County Development and Coördinating Agency (UDCDA) is seeking to expand its roster of qualified contractors for substantial home rehabilitation projects funded by the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, with applications due November 13, 2026. This is a contractor-roster inclusion opportunity, not a project-specific bid; selected contractors will compete on individual jobs as homeowners are matched to repair needs.

The program will assist approximately 18 single-family, owner-occupied homes, with up to $35,000 available per home for eligible repairs. Work must bring each residence into full compliance with local building code requirements and ensure all major building systems possess a remaining economic life of no less than five years upon completion. UDCDA's Rehabilitation Construction Analyst issues a detailed scope of work for each selected home; contractors then submit competitive bids, and contracts are awarded to the lowest responsible bidder following receipt of at least three bids per project.

MWBE (Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises) and Veteran-Owned Businesses are strongly encouraged to apply. The stated MWBE participation goal is 41.00% total.

Interested firms should respond directly to the advertisement. Questions may be directed to the issuing contact via email or phone at 716-408-2567. No incumbent contractor roster or prior identical/substantially similar contract awards are identified.
