About this opportunity
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is requesting bids for weekly trash collection, removal, and disposal services at Falcon State Park in Falcon Heights, Texas, under IFB ESBD_543079_1785186633980_802-27-76950, with bids due August 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST.
The scope covers weekly collection of eight three-cubic-yard containers during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT), Monday through Friday, with provisions for extra pick-up trips on an as-needed basis and the ability to adjust container quantities and sizes as directed by TPWD. All unit pricing must include administrative fees, fuel surcharges, and disposal costs.
The initial contract term runs from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2028, with options to renew for up to three additional one-year periods. Price adjustments at renewal are permitted upon mutual agreement or to account for documented landfill disposal-fee increases, limited to one increase per 12-month period.
Contractors must demonstrate at least three years of experience in trash collection services and provide a minimum of three verifiable references from similar work completed within the past five years. Insurance requirements include Workers Compensation (statutory), Commercial General Liability ($500,000 each occurrence / $1,000,000 aggregate), and Automobile Liability ($500,000 combined single limit). Bidders must comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Solid Waste Disposal Act, and maintain all required permits and licenses.
TPWD will evaluate bids based on best value considering price, qualifications, experience, delivery schedules, past performance, and quality of services. Bids must include completed Company Profile and Past Projects exhibits with corresponding references. Pre-bid site inspection is available by contacting Park Superintendent Jessica Tanguma at least three business days before the due date. Bids may be submitted via email to Purchasing.BidBox@tpwd.texas.gov or by mail to TPWD Purchasing and Contracting at 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, Texas 78744.
