About this opportunity

SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital intends to purchase Tissue Processors and Related Products from Leica Biosystems Inc. via Premier Contract #PP-LA-649 under New York State Finance Law section 163(3)(vi), a sole-source or limited-competition cooperative-purchasing vehicle that bypasses formal competitive process, with a proposal due date of October 13, 2026.

This is a cooperative purchasing procurement using a consortium contract, justified by price consideration under state authority. Vendors selling equivalent tissue processors and related products may contact Richard Frenger to discuss participation; the hospital recommends engagement rather than formal bidding.

Vendors must comply with New York State Finance Law 139j and 139k (Lobbying Law) — contact restricted to the named individual, with violations ranging from contract denial to debarment from all state agency sales. Vendors are encouraged to file the required Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire via the New York State VendRep System (https://portal.osc.state.ny.us); enrollment requires a New York State Vendor Identification Number. Paper questionnaires are available from the VendRep website or the Office of the State Comptroller's Help Desk (866-370-4672, 518-408-4672, ciohelpdesk@osc.state.ny.us).

All questions and requests for information must be submitted by email. No RFP, contract value, contract term, or detailed technical specifications are present in the notice.
