About this opportunity
Metro Water Recovery is requesting proposals for switchgear and protective relay maintenance services at two wastewater treatment facilities, with proposals due November 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM MT, and a pre-proposal conference and site visit on October 27, 2026.
The scope encompasses scheduled inspection, preventive maintenance, testing, and servicing of electrical distribution equipment at the Robert W. Hite Treatment Facility and the South Thornton Lift Station. Key personnel must hold NETA Certified Electrical Testing Technician credentials or equivalent industry-recognized certifications. Vendors must provide three similar client references from the past five years and submit proposals through the Bidnet Direct system, limited to 12 pages excluding cover page, table of contents, and appendices, with minimum 12-point font.
The contract term is five years (2027–2031). Pricing must be submitted as itemized annual lump sums for each year using the format in Attachment 2. Metro reserves the right to award to one or multiple vendors and may conduct oral presentations at its sole discretion. Proposals remain valid for a minimum of 60 calendar days from the due date.
Vendors must be responsive to all material and substantial terms of Metro's standard Short Form Agreement, with limited exceptions permitted only in sections 1.0 Services, 2.0 Payment, and 3.0 Insurance. Metro is exempt from federal and state sales and use taxes; vendors are responsible for applicable use taxes. All proposal preparation and submission costs are the vendor's sole responsibility, with no reimbursement by Metro.
The pre-proposal conference and site visit on October 27 are not mandatory but encouraged, limited to two representatives per vendor. Written inquiries are due November 2, 2026, with responses posted by November 6. The anticipated notice of award is January 2027. No contract value estimate is provided in the solicitation.
