About this opportunity

The City of Sacramento Department of Public Works is requesting bids for 50 units of black decorative street light poles without anchor bolts and 5 units with receptacle provision, with bids due July 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. PST and questions due July 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PST. Materials must be sourced exclusively from City-approved manufacturers: GBL Solutions Inc. or South Coast Lighting & Design — a sole-source specification that gates participation.

A Local Business Enterprise (LBE) 5% bid evaluation preference applies to contracts under $250,000. Additionally, a 1% local sales or use tax deduction is available for bidders maintaining fixed offices or distribution points within Sacramento.

All poles must be black decorative street light poles without lens, LED, or anchor bolts. Poles with receptacle provision are a separate line item. Pricing must be submitted in U.S. dollars as all-inclusive with no surcharges permitted. Materials must be delivered in one shipment, F.O.B. delivered with freight prepaid and unloaded by the bidder at the delivery destination during City working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). Bidders must honor quoted prices for 90 days from contract award. Successful bidders must obtain a City of Sacramento Business Operations Tax Certificate prior to award and submit certificates of insurance and required endorsements. Bid security is not required.

Award notification and contract award are estimated for the week of August 3, 2026. Award shall be made within 90 days after bid opening to the lowest responsible bidder(s).
