About this opportunity
Beaverton School District 48J is soliciting bids on construction of a new athletic facility at Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon under ITB 26-0001, with bids due August 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time via OregonBuys.gov. The district has established a 15% goal for disadvantaged, minority, women, emerging, service-disabled veteran, and socially/economically disadvantaged business content by contract value.
The scope includes a new athletic storage and ticket booth building, relocation of the existing shot-put pit, addition of a discus cage and practice ring, and renovation of the stadium press box to address water damage, rot, and structural repairs including door replacement, flashing, plywood soffit panels, insulation, and flooring. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation; implement dust control and HVAC protection to isolate the remainder of the school; remove and dispose of materials; and perform final cleaning upon completion.
Substantial completion is required by January 15, 2027, with final completion by January 29, 2027. Liquidated damages of $250 per day apply for failure to meet the substantial completion date. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Southridge High School. The district anticipates issuing a Notice of Intent to Award on or about August 14, 2026, with an anticipated executed contract date of September 16, 2026.
Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board at time of bid submission and submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. The awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract sum, file a $30,000 public works bond with the Construction Contractors Board, and participate in the district's Owner Controlled Insurance Program. Oregon prevailing wage requirements apply. Retainage is 5% of progress payments. Bidders must disclose all first-tier subcontractors valued at 5% of the bid or $15,000 minimum, or $350,000 regardless of percentage, within two working hours after bid closing.
