About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) for SMC ELECTRICAL involving a new relay, structure, and high resistance project in Dallas County, Texas. The solicitation was posted on November 30, 2025, with a response deadline of January 2, 2026, and requires mandatory registration through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details. Vendors must submit comprehensive bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms, with all freight costs integrated into the overall pricing. The procurement specifically seeks electrical relay and structure components, with strict delivery requirements where time and delivery rates are considered essential contract elements. DART mandates that potential vendors thoroughly review the purchase order terms and conditions, which are available in the supporting documentation section, and must comply with all specified submission guidelines.

No specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The contract appears open to qualified electrical equipment and infrastructure suppliers capable of meeting DART's stringent technical and logistical specifications. Payment terms are uniformly established at Net 30, with invoices requiring submission to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate and containing specific documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. While precise contract value ranges were not specified, the procurement suggests a significant infrastructure investment in electrical relay and structural components. DART reserves the right to reject submissions or terminate contracts for non-performance, underscoring the critical nature of precise vendor compliance with all contractual obligations and delivery schedules.
