About this opportunity

Sienna Municipal Utility District No. 7 is requesting sealed electronic bids for landscape improvements in the Sienna Section 78 development, with bids due September 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time and a mandatory pre-bid conference via Microsoft Teams on September 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

The scope encompasses pedestrian walks (concrete, 5 to 10 feet wide, approximately 21,578 square feet), sodding (approximately 92,640 square feet), and planting of Crape Myrtles, Magnolias, Holly trees, Lantana, and other specified varieties; irrigation systems; and meter installation within Fort Bend County, Texas. The contractor must achieve substantial completion within the specified calendar days after Notice to Proceed and final completion within 30 calendar days thereafter. Three alternate bid items are available: 30-day landscape maintenance, manual irrigation operation, and deer-resistant spray treatment.

Bidders must submit a 2 percent bid bond or certified check as bid security. Upon award, the contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds plus a two-year maintenance bond for 50 percent of construction costs. Texas Government Code Chapter 2258 minimum wage rate requirements apply. Economic disincentives of $500 per calendar day apply for non-completion beyond the contract deadline, excluding certain specified circumstances.

All bidders must include Texas Ethics Commission Form 1295 with their bid submission and provide contractor license information and evidence of out-of-state incorporation authorization if applicable. Bidding documents are available at no cost through www.CivcastUSA.com, where all bids and bid securities must be submitted electronically. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will award to the responsible bidder whose evaluation indicates the award will be most advantageous to the Owner and result in the best and most economical completion of the work.
